Animations That Hit
Mini loops with mini explanations.
Today I present you with three looping animations that collide, punch, and snap. Enjoy some quick viewing and short behind the scenes design excerpts and animation time-lapses:
Mind Map
A mixed media loop animated digitally and printed out. Green outline and shadow were composited after scanning the prints back into the computer.
Beatdown
This illustration was originally meant to embody how 2024 felt. Now in 2025, it feels even more relevant.
Despite a somewhat sad origin, this animation was quite fun to put together. See a 30s time-lapse of the animation process below:
Housie
I found this loop in my Procreate ipad archive. Apparently, whilst in a cute state of mind, I nicknamed this “housie.”
I remember wanting to explore making a snappy, seamless morph. Using the contrasting structures of a townhouse and an A-frame house felt like a fun way to merge my interest in architecture and my (highly documented) affinity for motion.
See a time-lapse of the animation process below:
Thanks for watching and reading! As always, here’s your:

I'm torn between (powerful) Beatdown and (bouncy) Housie for a fave here. The time-lapses make quick work of explaining (entertainingly!) just how much detail flows into a final (illusion of) simplicity. Thinking merges with doing on the animation stage! What a great post.
Really liked th housei morph!
